Don't Taze Me, Bro!
The police were way too patient- if I was a cop that dork would have tasted the business end of my service revolver after the first resistance. The guy was an annoying prick that refused to follow simple rules of order. Not only did he hog the microphone, but he refused to stop to let John Kerry answer.
I hate people like this.
His website says that he was "arrested for asking a question". However, the copious video evidence clearly shows that he was arrested for resisting professional and repeated attempts of police to restrain him. He was told, in no uncertain terms, that he would be tazed if he did not comply to police requests. He did not comply, he was tazed. What is unclear?
A quick check of his personal website, THEAndrewMeyer.com, illustrates that he's a self-promoting prick that knew damn well what he was doing. He even asked another student to record the whole thing. It was all premeditated. Check out his less than modest email address as well.
This is exactly what this guy planned and exactly what he wanted. He is a child, an attention whore that knew damn well that he could provoke the cops, play victim, and then whine like a baby when they take proper action. If UF cops puss out and drop the charges then this clown wins. They should throw him in jail for resisting arrest and remind everyone how to conduct themselves as adults in a civilized society. Dialog should be welcommed in an institute of higher learning, but a one-sided rant from a spoiled-brat lunatic is not going to result in a meaningful information exchange.
What is to protest? Sure John Kerry is an A-hole and people should be outraged, but I'll bet dollars to donuts that Andrew Meyer voted for the guy in 2004. Not like there was a choice.
